Funding your account

You can make payments into your account in a variety of ways:

By Debit or Credit Card

The quickest way to place funds on your account is by credit or debit card. Successfully authorised payments by credit or debit card are allocated to your account immediately.

The following card are accepted:

• UK debit cards: Maestro, Visa-Delta, Solo, Electron
• Credit cards: Visa, MasterCard (If using a credit card remember not to invest more than you can afford to lose, this sould be for convenience only).

For all payments there is a minimum amount of £10, or the equivalent in the currency of your account.  

Debit card

You can make instant deposits via secure online payment in the Make a Payment section. Simply select a registered card and enter the required amount. There is no charge for debit card payments.

To register a card with us, please call 0207 573 0055. You will be asked a few security questions and you should be able to set the card up for online payments in a few moments.

Credit card

You can also use the Make a Payment online form to make instant deposits from your Visa or MasterCard. (For legal reasons we are unable to accept cards where the cardholder is US resident.)

A 1.5% administration fee charge will apply for credit (not debit) card payments.

Your credit card provider may treat deposits you place with us as a cash advance (and charge you accordingly). Unfortunately, we are unable to tell if this will be the case.

Bank Transfer

The next quickest way to place funds on your account is via a same-day bank transfer. Most high-street banks provide same-day cash transfer up to a daily limit of £10,000 (fast pay service). For amounts greater than £10,000, the CHAPS service (available through your bank) also provides same-day payment. (Please note that BACS payments, by contrast, can take up to four business days to clear.) Payments will be allocated to your account when the funds are received.

Cheques

Cheques should be made payable to "IG Index Limited". Please write your Spread Betting account number on the back of the cheque, and send it to:
